HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE

Use the tabs, along the top of the page, to gain access to various Library resources and services.  "Getting Journal Articles" explains the process for getting the full-text of known journal articles. "Doing Research?" has links to the various library databases for searching for articles by subject (such as CINAHL and Academic Search), complete with details on passwords you will need to use when off-campus.  The "APA Citation Guide" tab provides examples of some of the basic in-text and reference list formats to use when writing a paper in APA style.

Take time to explore what we have available for you through the Library.  And, if you ever have questions or need help, don't hesitate to call or email -- all important contact information is listed below.

The Library -- Repackaged for Distance Students

This is a special Library Guide to address the unique needs of BryanLGH College of Health Sciences students who are considered to be fully online, hybrid or "distance education" students.  Let us assure you that you have access to exactly the same resources as our "on campus" students do.  What we have addressed within this Library Guide are the off-campus procedures to get into the Library's subject databases, how to request books and/or journal articles and how to request help from the librarians (who may not keep the same hours that you are keeping ...).
